Male Model Index: Featured Profile
Noah Mills was born on April 26, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, before attending boarding schools in Canada and Australia. He is the youngest of five children, with two older brothers and two older sisters. After boarding school, he planned to study psychology in college.
While attending university in Vancouver in 2003, Mills was approached by a local scout who asked if he'd be interested in modeling. He soon relocated to New York and, within weeks, booked his first runway show for Gucci. He signed with Wilhelmina Models and went on to walk for Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Michael Kors, and Dolce & Gabbana, making his runway debut for the latter two houses' fall collections in Milan and Paris in 2004.
In early 2005, Mills signed with Dolce & Gabbana, becoming one of the defining faces of the brand through the mid-2000s and remaining a fixture of its shows, alongside Versace and Michael Kors, for years afterward — for Michael Kors, he opened alongside Carmen Kass beginning in spring 2008. In 2009, he appeared in the Dolce & Gabbana Anthology Fragrance campaign alongside Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Tyson Ballou. He also modeled for Salvatore Ferragamo, Tommy Hilfiger, and Tom Ford, working with photographers including Steven Meisel, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Klein, Mario Testino, Mikael Jansson, Craig McDean, and Mert & Marcus.
